You’ve probably heard her name before – especially if you enjoy spending your spare time watching beauty tutorials or gazing at amazing highlighted makeup looks on Instagram..
Huda Kattan founder of Huda Beauty is on her way to world domination: She’s already made us fall in love with false lashes again; her Lip Strobe glosses haven’t just taken up permanent residence on our lips, but they’ve garnered a cult following to rival even Kylie’s Lip Kits; and her eyeshadow palettes—a checkerboard of the most high-pigment, flattering and fun shades—have made us all once again realise that makeup is there to be played with.

Now, she has set to stake her claim on our complexion too, as she launched her new #FauxFilter Foundation. You might remember she teased us with mini hints over Instagram earlier this year but finally the product has hit shelves. As stock is selling fast, getting hold of a bottle isn’t all that easy, but if her impressive back catalog is anything to go by, it’s definitely worth a shot.

Set to do the work of all your Instagram filters all at once, the formula contains blurring pigments that promise to fade uneven skin tone, hyper-pigmentation and blemishes into oblivion. The finish is matte but not chalky, in part thanks to a healthy hit of argan oil that provides a protective, nourishing veil over the skin.
As you’d probably expect, the coverage is on the heavier side which I love , but that does not mean that it will slipping and sliding down cheeks like other full coverage foundations, this foundation has the weight to cling on for dear life, and it won’t budge without the firm persuasion of makeup remover.

What we are all most excited about, however, is the shade range. Yes, it stands at 30 shades, which is 10 fewer shades than the Fenty Beauty Foundation, but as you can see from the swatches on Huda’s Instagram and the picture above, it still offers a skin tone spectrum far wider than most high-end beauty giants. Together, both Huda and Rihanna are raising the bar for the rest of the beauty industry to finally step up to the inclusive plate.
Choosing a foundation shade online or via pictures isn’t always easy, But Huda Kattan helped us out with a foundation guide, so that we can get the correct shade of the #FauxFilter Foundation. I had found, that when choosing mine, that one shade lighter then Huda’s recommended shade was the perfect match for me, while the recommended shade was a bit to dark for my complexion. I will be doing a Youtube tutorial with a more in-depth review so watch this space.

After saving up all my pennies, I found that all international store including ShopHudaBeauty and Cult Beauty were sold out. But after lots of research, and internet surfing I found the perfect online store that could suit all my beauty needs, which includes my skin care needs as well, Harrods , Has become my new go to online shopping site when it comes to the Huda Beauty brands, as it seems they always have stock, and shipment is always dispatched in 3-4 working days, which is awesome and I dont have a long wait.

Harrods eternally has stock of all the latest Huda Beauty products, But if you want to get it locally then, you can get it from Glamorise Brands Online Store , Muse SA , The make up Shack, Samika
