Fenty Beauty, Is it worth the hype?

After an effortlessly cool marketing campaign RiRi’s make up line,  Fenty Beauty, had launched globally at Sephora. Rihanna, went ALL out in creating her amazing make up line. The singer didn’t just launch a lip gloss or some highlighters, she did what she does best, she slayed the make up game! she has launched with over 80 products! The collection includes an incredible 40-shade foundation range, 30 highlighting and contouring sticks, brushes, a universal lip gloss, and the list goes on – shook would be an understatement. This is unlike any celebrity collaboration we’ve seen before, this is a range is said to be for anyone and EVERYONE.

But is is really worth all the hype?

People on the internet have a lot of opinions. Just scroll through the comments section of any news organization, celebrity Facebook page, or Instagram model. But in the case of the valuable insight divulged in Rihanas Fenty Beauty reviws, I suggest you sit up, pay attention, and stay awhile.

With her inclusive campaign and encompassing shade range, Rihanna has zapped the beauty industry out of a sleepy period and into overdrive. Everyone is talking about Fenty Beauty, which were launched on Sept. 8th, and we’re just now seeing thorough reviews from everyday beauty consumers. If you’re not a makeup artist or beauty pro, this kind of assessment can prove invaluable in determining if you really should shell out the dough for RiRi’s go-to radiance-giver.

Based on what the internet and Youtube beauty guru’s had to say thus far, I regret to inform your wallet that its’s about to get hit, hard. Nearly every member of Fenty’s lineup, has an almost perfect rating on Sephora’s website and throughout the interwebs. Here is a glimps into some of the highest ranked players.

The five highest ranked products in the Fenty Beauty line are:

The Pro Filt’r Foundation

This product that has won praise from make-up fans and critics around the world, Rihanna’s Pro Filt’r Foundation is available in a whopping 40 shades, meaning it accommodates a huge variety of ethnicities and skin types.

The matte formula gives skin an instantly smooth, shine-free finish that easily builds from medium to full coverage. A word of warning here though, while light and long-wearing it’s seriously quick to set so you need to work quickly if you want to achieve a flawless finish before it dries out.

With such high reviews from all beauty guru’s and make up junkies  one cant help but wonder if it’s seriously worth the hype. For me personally the foundation is a bit more of a light coverage in areas I wish had full coverage, but ultimately the foundation lasted the whole day and I hardly had to touch up. – Raeesa Osman

The Match Stix

Match Stix

Available in two different versions – shimmer and matte – the latter is designed to conceal, correct and contour while the other is best used for highlight and blush.

Made to layer, the buildable cream-to-powder formulas are weightless and creamy, meaning they’re easy to blend into the skin with little-to-no creasing or caking. A tad drying when used over the foundation for those with dehydrated skin, but I suggest using a wet beauty blender for best results.

Another great feature about these is the pale pink magnetic packaging which allows them to clip together creating a honeycomb shape. If you’re someone that spends ages rummaging through their make-up bag, then this trick is a serious savior.

The Killawatt Highlighters

Killawatt Highlighters

Arguably the most talked about product in the collection, and one of my favorites, Fenty Beauty’s highlighters come in an impressive six shades – four of which are duos.

A versatile highlight that can be applied anywhere from the cheeks and chest to the nose and even as eye shadow – they offer either a subtle radiance or insane glow depending on which  you choose.

For a full-on finish, Trophy Wife – a brilliant gold pressed powder – should be your go to, however the Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby duo is a beautiful highlight that flatters all skin colours without looking too over the top.

The Gloss Bomb

The only lip product in the collection, Fenty Beauty’s Universal Lip Luminizer is intended to suit all skin tones. Taking your lip game to the next level, the nude-rose shade packs a punch with shimmery particles without feeling too sticky and because it’s loaded with shea butter, leaves your smackers feeling kissable.

The supersized, doe-foot applicator also makes swiping the product on super simple and it tastes absolutely delicious – think peaches and cream.

The Invisimatte Blotting Paper

Housed in a sleek, lipstick-like tube with a mirror on the side, blotting has never been so chic. Ultra-portable and super-compact, the paper rolls out of the case like aluminium foil which means you can tear off the perfect amount each time – but does it work?

Absolutely. The paper works to lift away shine without affecting your make-up or leaving any residue. The best part is that the case is also refillable.

After announcing Fenty Beauty’s extensive foundation range of 40 shades, the make up world completely lost their minds when RiRi revealed her only lip-dedicated product comes in just ONE shade. Crazy, right?

Fenty Beauty offers one lip gloss, that is said to be a universally flattering neutral with boss-level shine.

“For the gloss, I wanted a color that would work well on all skin tones,” Rihanna told Refinery 29. “It took awhile, and we had to switch things up to get the right texture, the right smell even. We came to this perfect, rosy-nude that had a little bit of shimmer. It gives you something, but it doesn’t look like you’re doing the most.”

Looks like her one-size-fits-all approach paid off: Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer is a fan-favorite, with reviewers praising its non-sticky consistency, delicious peachy scent, and jumbo-sized wand.

One thing is for sure, even though this ill take a HUGE toll on my wallet, its worth buying again and again.  I got my Fenty products from the Fenty Beauty website . If you dont want to stress about customs or other importing issues, the you can always get your hands on this fantastic brands from Glamorise Brands Online Store, Musa Sa, The Make up shack or even Samaika

I give the Fenty beauty Make up line a solid 8 out of 10 lipsticks.
