Influencer Profile : Julia Petersen

Julia Petersen first came onto my radar when  she became one of the Top 12 finalists in the 2014 Miss South Africa pageant. Sadly her beauty, grace and elegance didn’t win her the title that year, but it did bring her onto the social media map.

I met Julia through her sister Carla, who’s beauty rivals that of her sister, I mean let me be really honest with you guys, both Julia and Carla are as beautiful as their mom… #momgoals. I have been in the beauty and fashion industry for more that 10 years and I have worked with many, many professional models, some leave a lasting impression, while I haven’t worked with Julia as yet (I will be soon) but I have been in contact with her via whats app and I can honestly tell you that she has inspired me to be the best that I can be.

Inspiring me is just one thing, but to prove to you on how truly amazing this young lady is, I contacted Julia’s sister Carla and asked her what exactly inspires her about her sister and here is what she had to say:

” As her younger sister, she has been the biggest influential person in my life because we grew up forming such a close unique bond that nothing can tear us apart. My famous phrase when I describe my sister is “she is my role model”. Being a part of her journey, I admire how she still remains humble despite all she has accomplished in life. Some of her biggest achievements are: Miss South Africa 2014 finalist, Miss Mamelodies Sundowns 2015 finalist, Brand Ambassador for Tafta, Model at Models International. Currently, she is a Fashion Influencer for Contempo.

What inspires me the most is her selflessness. She has a heart full of compassion and is willing to make a difference in people’s lives when an opportunity arises. Moreover, her genuine character is what probably makes her a lovable person. She lights up a room with her presence and never shies away from having a good time.

I am so proud to say that I am her younger sister. We support one another’s dreams and only want the very best for each other. Lastly, I know she does not only inspire me, but many other girls out there. Her mission in life is to empower women – thank you Julia Petersen for proving to the world that we can end girl hate and rather love our sisters.”

As mentioned by Carla, Julia is active in so many aspects from work to charity to empowerment.

Here is a look at some of the work Julia has done since Miss South Africa 2014, I’m sure that she has made her parents proud with the amazing and inspirational job that she is doing.

If you guys know me, you know that I love doing my research on many topics, from make up to skin care to profiles, and Julia Petersen is no exception. While researching this young beauty (I make myself seem so old when I say that) I came across an amazing video of Rolene Strauss and Julia! For those of you who don’t know Rolene Strauss had won the Title of Miss South Africa 2014 and later became the 3rd South African to win the title of Miss World during that same year. ( I had contacted Ms Strauss to comment on Julia, but I had not received a reply at the time of posting this.)

Apart from being a role model to her sister, and an amazing daughter to her parents, I hear she is the best girlfriend. I had reached out to her loving boyfriend but had not received a reply at the time of posting, when I do receive a reply I will update on all my social platforms.

With all that has been said on this beauty, I can tell you that Julia is certainly headed for big things and I wouldn’t be surprised if one day we see her on the world biggest runways such a Milan Fashion week or even with angle wings at the Victoria Secrets fashion shows.
